HI, MY NAME IS JEFFIE.
We are given a brief amount of time together. As an artist, I consider it a gift to be able to share my vision and experience. Sometimes it’s serious, sometimes it’s thoughtful and a lot of the time it’s just silly. The shared experience of existing, living, loving, thinking... seeing beauty, knowing fear, feeling passion, and just being is further magnified through art - creating, discussing, collaborating, learning and teaching. I have been privileged to have great mentors, teachers and friends; to continue to share this with viewers is fantastic. - Jeffie Brewer
In February 2022, I was lucky enough to be interviewed by the legendary Kelli and Bob Phillips. Texas Country Reporter (a TV show I have watched since I was a kid) was celebrating 50 years of discovering ordinary people doing extraordinary things on the back roads of the Lone Star State and I am so grateful my studio made their list of must-see destinations. What a thrill!
What's going on in my head? Wouldn't you like to know! I'm not even sure some of the time, so I've been writing it down. Learn all my deepest, darkest... just kidding. "Joy Machine" is a book about my art that features essays from art historians, designers and curators, alongside my own words and lots of amazing photos!
